Thick, sweet and creamy – yet deceptively strong – this decadent cocktail is ideal for after-dinner sipping. The crème de cacao works perfectly with the classic peanut butter and chocolate combination, while the vodka gives this RuPaul-inspired tipple a kick that prevents it from being cloying.
The cocktail features in Greg Bailey and Alice Wood’s DRAGTAILS: Fierce Cocktails Inspired by Drag Royalty, an illustrated cocktail book filled with 50-plus recipes for drinks inspired by legendary drag stars.
Greg and Alice took creating a cocktail for RuPaul – LGBTQ+ legend and mentor to generations of drag queens – seriously, paying homage to the crème de la crème with a dessert-like concoction that’s not only utterly delicious, but looks fit for the spotlight, too. In the words of the mother of modern drag herself: “Can we get an amen?”

Things to note:
If you don't have a cocktail shaker, use a mason jar with a lid, shake vigorously and pour through a fine mesh strainer to serve.
For best results, freeze the chocolate for 15 minutes before grating.
For a mocktail version of the drink, substitute the vodka and crème de cacao with chocolate milk.
For US ingredients and measurements, use the drop-down menu and select 'Cups'.
